Robert has over three decades’ experience in local government in senior HR leadership roles, including 14 years as Head of HR at a unitary authority. He has advised chief executives, elected members, senior management teams, and head teachers on complex HR issues including reorganisations, restructuring, employee relations, pay structure reviews, and leadership development.
In addition to his strategic HR leadership, Robert has expertise in trade union consultations; large scale redundancy programmes; improving the performance of HR teams; flexible and hybrid working projects; TUPE; performance management; designing and running management development programmes; recruitment and retention strategy; and reviewing and implementing HR policy frameworks.
